Swissotel Hotel in Amsterdam

Location
This hotel is overlooking the Dam Square and next to the main, pedestrians shopping street of Amsterdam. It is also within walking distance of Central Station and all major tourist attractions.

Rooms
The bedrooms vary in size depending on which part of the building they are situated. They are, in general, quite large with up-to-date decor in shades of blue offering a high level of comfort. Some rooms have recently been refurbished, and are extremely modern decorated in deeper contrasting colours with new furniture. The bathrooms are all medium sized and also in good condition, especially the newer ones.

Restaurant
There is a small restaurant and bar available to hotel guests serving both Dutch and Swiss dishes at very reasonable prices.

Exterior
The hotel consists of several old houses which have been joined together.

Lobby
Recently renovated, the lobby is a lot more modern and much brighter with marble floor and pale colours. The reception desk is in wood and steel.

General
Due to its excellent location, this is a very popular hotel but with limited rooms it is more ideal for individual travellers than groups. 061107JG
